“Being recognized as the top family entertainment center in North America is a reflection of the people, culture and community engagement efforts at Big Thrill Factory,” says Darrel Blomberg, General Manager of Big Thrill Factory. “Since day one we’ve strived to elevate the customer experience by offering unique opportunities to eat, play and celebrate. It is an incredible honor to be recognized as the top entertainment center on the continent.”
The company delivers on its mission: all for fun, fun for all. “Big Thrill Factory is fearless when it comes to introducing new entertainment options to evolve our overall Eat, Play, Celebrate experience,” Blomberg explained. “In addition to adding over 4,000 square feet of state-of-the-art Arcade Games and Mini Bowling, we recently teamed up with contractor Daniels Wood Land from reality hit TV series 'Redwood Kings' to custom design an all new ‘Zombie Blasters’ all-season apocalyptic walk-thru shooting gallery,” he said. “And we’ve only scratched the surface of what’s to come.”
As Big Thrill Factory grows, so does its community impact. The company invests in giving back to the local community, making a positive difference in the lives of customers, employees, and their families. Since opening in 2013, Big Thrill Factory has been helping young fun-seekers develop life-skills, support and confidence through efforts focused on local community engagement, onsite events and fundraisers and investing in the potential of its youth. “For us, it’s all about fun, not only for profit, but to better the lives of others,” notes Blomberg.
A panel of nine IAAPA judges awarded Big Thrill Factory based on a rigorous application process evaluating community initiatives, marketing materials, amusement offerings and customer performance in the areas of a pre-visit telephone call, web site review, general appearance, staff hospitality, cleanliness, landscaping, attractions, food quality, state of repair, safety, service and more.
